How much will my tattoo cost?

I charge by the piece, based on the estimated amount of hours I think it will take to tattoo. You may ask for an estimate. Design sizes and body location of the tattoo will fluctuate the price. Feel free to also tell me if you have a budget in mind and we can change the design detail, size, or split up the tattoo into multiple sessions to work with you.
Do you require a deposit?
-
I require a $50 non-refundable deposit for medium-large pieces to secure your place in my schedule and ensure drawing time is covered. The $50 will come off the price of your tattoo at the end of your session. Once the appointment date is accepted, I will need a deposit within the next 3 days to secure the date.
How do I pay the deposit?
-
Deposits can be made through Venmo app (Lily-Laurila), cash app (Lily Laurila), Zelle (lalaurila@yahoo.com) or in shop I can take credit/debit or cash transactions during Tuesday-Saturdays 2-6 pm with advanced notice. All card transactions have a 3% card fee.

If you cancel the appointment without rescheduling, there is no roll over of the deposit. A new deposit will be required for a new appointment. A no-call no-show will also be considered a cancellation and the deposit is forfeited.
What happens if I do not like the design or want to make changes to the design?
-
If you think of any small changes or add ons to the original tattoo design idea requested, you have the option to contact me at least 2 weeks before your appointment. When you see the tattoo design I drew, I am able to make small changes/ alterations if needed.
-
Once I accept the project, an appointment date is set and the deposit is made, I will not change the overall design/theme of your piece. If you do not like the design and request a new one, I will require payment for the drawing hours I spent on the previous design and for the additional hours to draw the new design. A new appointment date maybe be necessary and so I have time to work on it. I rarely have to re-draw designs so don’t let this scare you! If you give me all the information your design will come out as expected or better.

Tattoo Pain & Aftercare Questions

We are able to take breaks during the appointment as needed.
-
Larger tattoo designs can be split up to eliminate the session length which will help with pain management.
Can I get my new tattoo wet?
-
You may shower as normal, but until the tattoo is fully healed, avoid long showers, hot/steaming water, and over washing the tattoo.
-
DO NOT use swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, or anything that will soak the tattoo for 2-3 weeks.
Can I use numbing cream?
-
Yes, but let me know ahead of time if you are thinking of using numbing cream before your appointment. Personally I do not advise the use of numbing cream as every person's skin is different it can react, or heal differently than it would for a tattoo without the use of numbing cream. The FDA recommends consumers not use OTC pain relief products with more than 4% lidocaine on their skin. Side effects like skin irritation, allergic reactions, and changes that make it harder for the artist to work, potentially affecting the tattoo's quality.
-
It is best if you get a prescription from your doctor allowing you to use a numbing topical agent for your tattoo appointment to be safe.
-
Numbing Cream Tips
-
Do a small test spot on your skin days before the appointment, some creams can negatively affect your skin type. It is important to try it before using it for the tattoo process.
-
Clean and exfoliate your skin in the area to be tattooed. Shave the area. Apply the cream as suggested on packaging. (Usually applied hours before and cover the area with ceran-wrap. I will remove the ceran-wrap when you come in for your appt.)
