Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to the appointment?

  • A valid ID. You may bring water, snacks, headphones, a friend or family member to sit near you during the tattoo.

How much will my tattoo cost?

  • I charge by piece based on the estimated amount of time I think it will take to tattoo. You may ask for an estimate and I can give you a range of how much I think it will cost.

Can I get my new tattoo wet?

  • You may shower as normal, but until the tattoo is fully healed, avoid long showers, hot/steaming water, and over washing the tattoo.

  • DO NOT use swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, or anything that will soak the tattoo for 2-3 weeks.

How can I prepare for my appointment?

  • Hydrate

    • Drink plenty of water before your appointment to avoid feeling faint or unwell during the tattooing process. Dehydration can also lead to dry, flaky skin.

  • Get enough sleep

    • A good night's sleep will help you relax and recover more quickly. Sleep deprivation can make you more sensitive to pain.

  • Eat before your Appointment

    • A meal before your appointment can help with nerves and lightheadedness. If you're getting a detailed tattoo, you are welcome to bring snacks with you.

  • Avoid alcohol

    • Alcohol can dehydrate you and decrease your pain tolerance.

  • Moisturize

    • Apply moisturizer to the area where you'll get your tattoo for a week before your appointment. Dry skin is more fragile and can be damaged more easily.

  • Wear comfortable clothing

    • Choose loose-fitting, clean clothing that allows the artist to easily access the tattoo area.

  • Shower

    • Shower before your appointment to keep the area clean and reduce the chance of infection.

What forms of payment are accepted?

  • Cash, Credit/Debit (3% card fee), Venmo, Cash App

Are we able to take breaks during the appointment?

Yes, I typically take a short break every 1-2 hours to stretch, use restroom, water/snack break

Will the tattoo hurt?

  • Yes tattoos generally hurt. Pain severity varies person to person, by body location, length of the tattoo etc. Arms are generally a less painful area for beginners.

What should I wear to get tattooed?

  • Make sure the body location intended to be tattooed can be exposed to allow the artist to work freely.

  • Loose fitting clothing so it can be moved out of the way.

  • Keep in mind your clothing could possibly get stained with ink, blood or plasma
